Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) is a renowned global organization representing Kerala Muslims, dedicated to fostering community development, cultural preservation, and humanitarian service. Affiliated with the Indian Union Muslim League, KMCC has established branches across the world, including in the USA, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, and many other countries.
KMCC Australia was established in 2005 by a group of passionate individuals from Kerala who wanted to create a cultural bridge between their homeland and their new home in Australia.
KMCC's core mission is to serve the community through socio-cultural, philanthropic, and humanitarian activities, while upholding and promoting Islamic teachings, values, principles, and Kerala Islamic heritage. The organization emphasizes universal brotherhood, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and social harmony, inspired by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In Australia, KMCC's main objectives include encouraging the practice of Islamic principles, raising funds for medical aid and disaster relief, and supporting socio-economic development initiatives. The organization actively participates in community outreach to assist new migrants and collaborates with various Islamic and cultural organizations to promote Islamic teachings and Kerala's rich cultural heritage.
Through these efforts, KMCC Melbourne strives to foster a sense of unity, cultural identity, and social responsibility within the community, contributing positively to broader Australian society while maintaining strong ties to its roots.
